Do not allow Universal Studios to complicate your constituents lives. The off-ramp closure will result in the longest stretch of the Hollywood Freeway from the Los Angeles County line to downtown L.A. that has no exit—a full 2 ½ miles, from the Lankershim Boulevard exit to the Hollywood Bowl/Highland Avenue exit.

This cannot happen! There are few alternatives for me to get from that part of the Valley to Hollywood where I work. Don't shut down the Barham off ramp. I spend enough time on the freeways as it is!

closing the Barham ramp will cause the worst traffic jams ever. It's the best way to get into Burbank & Toluca Lake from Hollywood. Do not close!!!

This is more than an inconvenience! Closing the Barham ramp will have a devastating impact on the quality of life for countless Hollywood Hills residents, their visitors, tradespeople, business people and for any emergency vehicles. I am actually shocked that these closures are even being considered, so detrimental are they to the community. Apart from access problems to our homes from the freeway, the traffic problems it is going to cause will be monumental. Did some one received $ for this ? this

THEME PARK versus COMMUNITY and quality of living This area of Los Angeles is already a consistent nightmare of congestion throughout the day and night. Add that there is a new home project being built just south of the Barham off-ramp, which will place approximately 84 more cars onto that stretch of road twice a day. When there is a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, or movie times at Universal, or an issue on the 101, the traffic is so dense and immobile it causes many of us to ponder moving out of the area. Increasing tourism is the last thing this area needs. It is already over-run with noise, glare, light, traffic and disturbing air-quality. If anything, that ramp should be widened and enhanced in order to allow smoother transit to an area where little to no civic planning can be witnessed. My questions for the community are these: exactly why does Universal feel the need to close that ramp? What are the specific reasons they feel they need that real estate? And how do those reasons trump the benefits that the ramp brings to the community? The project will clearly line the pockets of a select few in the short-term, while robbing long-term quality of life from the majority.

I currently live in Valley Village, but when I lived in Lake View Terrace I used to take this ramp frequently to get home from my job in the miracle mile district. It's an integral part of the traffic plan for a large segment of the community, and this is definitely an error in judgment.

I use that ramp every day. My whole neighborhood is upset. I already travel an hour to and from work. Universal is a second rate park. Remember how they removed the residential part of their expansion plan when housing didn't suit them anymore. Give me that road they were going to build through their property.

this is my daily freeway entrance... eliminating it to benefit a large company and to hell with the locals is an outrage.
