I live very close to this ramp and it will be awful for everyone involved. Please do not close this. Thank you!

Traffic is insane already in this corridor on a daily basis. Closing this ramp would be asinine.

Let's find a solution. We need to keep traffic flowing.

Do NOT close the Barham. NBCUniversal's needs MUST take a backseat to the needs of the residents.

I have a business 1/2 mile from the exit. Traffic is already jammed and closing these exits will make is much worse. It could force me to move out of the area.

And one more thing - how about all those Hollywood Bowl concerts? Cahuenga backs up all the way to Ventura 4 nights a week during the summer. How will we who actually live in this neighborhood get in and out with that gridlock?

So let's see...42 new homes currently being built in the Pass; 2 new stoplights just added; Hollywood Bowl traffic; Ford Theater traffic; suffocating tourist traffic; thousands of resident commuters; thousands MORE cars when Harry Potter opens up; no other way in and out of this area...Hey...! Here's a great idea...!...NOW let's close down the Barham ramp!! Yeah...cuz Universal Studios needs to make more money!! Eh, who cares about the folks who live there...they'll get over it. ENOUGH!!

Isn't it BAD ENOUGH that after Harry Potter opens, we will have THOUSANDS more cars daily to deal with? Not only should they leave the Barham ramp OPEN - but they should REOPEN the on and off ramps that they closed a few years ago just east of Barham between Highland and Barham! Take Take TAKE and never give back to the community! That's the "man" taking care of no one but themselves!

Plus consider the impact on /from the new, large housing development currently under construction on Cohuenga between the southbound 101 exits under discussion.

Not to mention, this is the only way to head south on Cahuenga exiting In-n-Out without danger from oncoming traffic at 50+ mph :P

NO Hollywood Hill residents nor businesses are in favor of CalTrans and/ or Universal Studios unilateral decision to close the Barham Blvd ramp. We residents and local businesses MUST invest our skills, finances and knowledge to prevent CalTrans and/ or Universal Studios from taking the additional time that we locals will have to spend in drive times to and from home, the response time of emergency vehicles, and the value of being conveniently located near the 101 on and off ramp!

Permanent closure of the Barham off-ramp is an untested and never-polled idea that would destroy adequate, safe, direct and convenient access, affecting residences, shops, small businesses, schools, and entertainment/media studios and offices in both Toluca Lake and Burbank, as well as all along Barham Blvd. -- a well-established crown/central point long renowned for its accessibility, being equidistant from Hollywood, Burbank, and Toluca Lake/SF Valley and RIGHT OFF THE FREEWAY! Since the proper distance for urban ramps is 1 mile apart (urlcut.org/101freeway), eliminating the high-volume Barham ramp (about 15,000 cars for just the combined OFF ramps*) would also create the longest distance between ramps -- 2.5 miles -- on the entire 101 from downtown to the end of LA bordering Ventura county! So increased profits -- at the public's expense -- go into for-profit corporate giant NBC/Universal's pockets based on expansion, which includes building a private off ramp to download their own paying customers directly onto the freeway, while working with Caltrans to close the major and necessary public ramp at Barham. Of course there was hanky-panky in not disclosing this intended closure properly (using a name other than "Barham Blvd." is sneaky), and in not opening it to debate for residents and stakeholders (who had no idea they wanted to shut down the Barham Blvd. ramp, since the plan didn't say so by name), or doing a full, proper (and public) impact report. Universal has never made any effort to direct their exiting traffic- Many are confused travelers who, for what ever reason,made a pilgrimage to this park. Many people that come from other areas,states,and countries. Now that they think the stakes are high they want to take another crap on the locals. They simply could direct their exiting traffic west down Cahuenga Blvd. to the on ramp at In-Out burger. I can't tell you how many T-Bone accidents I've seen at the light by Starbucks involving yahoos who just left universal that are impatient-The rush from the park still flowing and force their way to go left onto the south bound barham ramp. It's really ALL universal's fault. And what do THEY really do for the area or the locals besides take? This area is already a severe bottle neck since the 101 is the only way into Hollywood besides the overcrowded Cahuenga pass. Other than that,You have to go down to Laurel,over the hills,or all the way around to the 5. If they are allowed to get away with closing that ramp the area will be flooded and if you think you have seen nightmare traffic in the area up to now- Brother..............You ain't seen nothin yet.

The Highland exit is a dead trap, in a Hollywood Bowl night is nonexistent, do we even have representatives or do they all work for Universal?.
