Not only do my children love this school and everything it has to offer. But OLP has been a staple in our community for many years.

The Archbishop and the Church should reconsider their decision and at least sit down with the parish to consider what measures could be taken to keep the school open.

This school should not close!! It is vibrant, educationally superior, and is viable for the future. Given a chance is to endure the pandemic, the school will grow and continue to be the foundation for the community. There might be lesser schools that should be closed, the Academy is not one of them! DO NOT CLOSE THE ACADEMY OF OUR LADY OF PEACE!!

Keep OLP open. Give people a choice of giving their children a Catholic education.

Disgraceful - how inconsiderate. What a disappointment the church has been.

This school has been open for 66 years and it should continue to be open to educate the local youth.

This school is a local community pillar and institution with a sterling reputation. To close this so summarily indicates a blatant disregard to the goal of quality Catholic education within the diocese. I have wanted my children to attend this school for years when they are of age - to not be able to do so is an injustice. I ask the diocese from the bottom of my heart to reconsider this decision.

Do not shut this school...You are getting plenty of money from the parents of the students and the parishoners.

I don’t think this was the appropriate time to close down the school or at all. I have always said, “When I have kids, I want them to go to Our Lady Of Peace.” It made me a respectful person and made me who I am today. I wanted my future kids to go to this exact school because I had high hopes that they would stand out as polite young people growing up in this community. It is such a shame to hear this terrible news. I do not want to have to change my future plans.

OLP is a beacon of hope at this devastating time. It's a wonderful school, and to close it would be a terrible error. New Providence need OLP School.

My 12 years of Catholic education were the most important years of my life and helped me to become the Catholic parent I am today. This present time during the Covid 19 pandemic is not the appropriate time to close the doors of your school. For the emotional, educational, and social sake of your students, and for your dedicated faculty and parents, I hope that you will reconsider this decision to close the school.
