Keep The Academy of Our Lady of Peace, New Providence Open

My children went to school here and it was the best decision I ever made. This school should NOT be closed. It’s valuable!

We need Catholic School education. It may not always make fiscal sense, but always makes spiritual sense. Please reconsider

as a student who attended olp for a good 8 years, i’ve learned so much. i’ve gotten closer to God and learned my catholic values. unfortunately i had made a heartbreaking decision to leave after the 6th grade, i still attend church and play cyo basketball. Olp was always a second home to me and that will never change, open or not. I have many fond memories between track and field to my relationship with my teachers. All the teachers at this school put their effort into the education they gave their students. In fact most of the teachers came off as genuinely enjoyed to see their students. the archdiocese should really reconsider, this school isn’t only a place of work or a school, it’s a home to many others. think about the struggle it is for change not only for students but also the faculty and staff. how are children supposed to practice their religion if we keep closing the schools? i might’ve left olp but when i heard the disastrous news, i was hurt inside. it was as if a part of me was taken away. please do not do this to a amazing school.

AOLP is a wonderful, supportive school community! It is truly like a second family! It is a loss to catholic education and the Archdiocese to close AOLP.

Just moved to the area and was hoping to send my son there for kindergarten. Sad to see another school close. Please reconsider!

Now more than ever we need Catholic schools to educate our children. Since when has it been all about Catholic schools turning a profit? The faithful have always generously subsidized the cost of our schools. By supporting our Catholic schools, we are investing in our children's future. Let's not permit clerical bureaucrats to dictate what is best for our children. This is much bigger than counting beans.

Thank you OLP for all the wonderful formative years you've given our children.

All 5 of our children received outstanding Christ-centered, Catholic educations at AOLP. Please reconsider, let us know what we need to do to enable others to receive th same opportunity.

I’m afraid that the Archdiocese is acting against its own best interest. AOLP and its families are an important part of OLP and the larger community. I’m afraid we are tearing away the very foundation we should be reinforcing in this day and age.

My son is a THIRD GENERATION student. Schools are necessary now more than ever. Public schools are crowded, but we provide individual attention at OLP.

Back in 88 we relocated to NP not knowing anyone. We did have one distant connection my sister-in-law’s great aunt was Sister Rose Marie. That September our daughter began pre-K 4 at OLP. Fast forward 30 years and she just completed her 12th year teaching at what is now a blue ribbon academy.

We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide the Board meeting as we move closer to Pentecost Sunday
