I can not express in words how much I love this school. I have the utmost respect for Father Bill and the Faculty. They have showed me countless times why this is an amazing school. Not only did you receive a great education, you became apart of something that was more than that, a Family. They are a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. They have been around for the past 75 or more years. I am ashamed and heartbroken that Cardinal Tobin would do this to an amazing school like AOLP. This was not just a school, it was a Family.

My daughter is a teacher at OLP and I am extremely saddened to hear the news of the school closing. I sent both of my children to Catholic schools their entire childhood. There is a special bond between the school, church and community like no other. I pray that they are able to find the funding to keep the school open. Many lives will be affected by this.

The closing of AOLP is not only heartbreaking, but will affect so many people. This school is an amazing asset to the community. Considered as a mistake close the school. This is one of the best schools in the area, with top notch educators & truly some of the finest families.

Please stop closing catholic schools. If you put more time and energy into rebranding your reputation and amount up some of your fuddy duddy ways you could find the way to highlight the value of all have to offer. Starting with the community that we just don’t see anymore elsewhere. The efforts spent on archaic fundraising programs could be retooled to be smarter and the external messaging needs to be stepped up. Don’t take the community away from kids and families because some of administrations thinking is stuck in 1970.

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is more than just a school and my place of employment. It is my second home. I have taught at the Academy for the past 12 years and I am also a graduate from there. I can attest that the education and experiences I have had there have made a lasting impact on my life. I planned on sending my future children to this amazing school because I know the values and education that I received there they would not be able to find at another school. I have also helped chair the largest fundraiser for the church and school, the OLP Country Fair. This new development of closing the school does not make me want to continue my acts of service towards your organization. You have done a great disservice to the current and future students of the Academy by closing our doors. You have shown all of us that money is more important than faith, hope, and love. Please save our school!

I am ashamed about what the Archdiocese did to this loving, caring, and wonderful school. The Catholic Church should be there for their followers and supporters, not throwing them away in this terrible time. They can try to take our school, but not without going through us first. We will show them what Panther Power really means. Go Panthers!

They closed the school without any support for the families. Hard to explain to my eight and twelve year old why I'm raising them Catholic when the church can make such a decision. I thought the Catholic church was suppose to be their at your time of need. I thought they are trying to bring Catholics back home. Praying for a miracle.

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is the essential to our family. We need this school to stay open. It is a horrible decision to close this school without giving us a fighting chance.

Allow the parish, the parishioners and residents that have financially supported the parish and school for years, the option to keep the school open.
