As an alumnae of AOLP I’m disheartened at the thought of the Archdiocese closing such a exemplary school. AOLP is in an area that can well afford to support the school with little contributions from the archdiocese. This makes the Archdiocese’s decision that much more incomprehensible. I feel for these students that are already suffering anxiety from Coronavirus, homeschooling, lack of social interaction and death around them. I cannot understand how in good conscience the Archdiocese can proceed with this decision.

My brother in law loves his job at OLP and the students love him and the school. Please don't take Catholic school education away from the families that want Christ in their lives on a daily basis!!

Like so many others, I can't understand why the Archdiocese would even consider closing this school. AOLP should be considered a flagship of Catholic education. Each year, the 8th grade students are accepted into some of the best high schools in the state. AOLP recently acquired the coveted Blue Ribbon designation. The children here are taught so much more than a great education. They are taught by example. Everyone at AOLP is devoted to Catholic values, the children, and the school. It is a very special place.

More time should be given before these decisions are implemented. Students have already had their relationships stopped mid-March. They should not have their schools closed in this manner.

OLP was home for 8 years. It molded me to who I am today. Please reconsider your decision. If it's a financial decision, let us know, the alumni will respond!!!!

My dad (the first class) and I are graduates. Catholic education is so very important. Schools across the state need a cross-diocese approach to use the strengths of the schools as an asset. Today, more than ever, Catholic schools are needed.
