I love Steven Universe as it is. It's beautiful show with not often seen in animated for quite some time. These paranoid people who want it censored are just people who are lax and lazy in the care of their children. Furthermore these children are not stupid, they know how to not let a work of fiction influence them that much. Even if they did becom gay or lesbian, it's their choice and it certainly was an affect of Steven Universe. These parents are just unwilling to let their children be happy being who they are

What's beautiful about these episodes is that they show true love, and how beautiful and somewhat daunting it can be. To take something like this off the air would be a travesty.

We shouldn't have to censor this. It is extremely crucial to the plot, and besides. We are moving forward, and things are changing. People should begin to grow more accepting of things like this, and if you aren't, you're getting left behind. It doesn't matter what gender, sex, race, etc you are. This pairing, Ruby and Sapphire, shows a great example of love and if seeing two cartoons kiss and be happy, then I am sorry. The gems don't have actual genders, and just use female pronouns. Seeing them be happy because they care about eachother isn't going to turn your child gay. That isn't how sexuality works. And if five years in the future, your child is infact anything but heterosexual, and you blame it on this show, man. You held a grudge for a long time. If you can't let your children accept fictional people for who they are, I'm sorry. If you can't accept your children for who they are, I'm so sorry.

This kids show is the first to actually not make fun of these kinds of relationships. Its completely over the top to censor it. Adults need to calm down because this show is teaching children that these kinds of relationships are completely ok.

It's really dumb to censor something because your kids might be like that. And the reason I think it's dumb is because my entire life straight people were representated in shows, and not once did it ever turn me, a pansexual, straight.

…I secretly hope this’ll spark a equal-rights one-upmanship between Nick and CN. Like, Nickelodeon starts with Korra and Asami’s “Kinda maybe together by word of God?“ and CN’s all ‘shit we can do better‘ with a relationship between two genderless-but-kinda-female characters. What will be next? An actual relationship where both characters are, beyond any doubt, the same gender in a multi-gendered species? Gay marriage? Adoption? Bisexual characters who are respected not because of or despite but regardless of their orientation? Non-magically induced genderqueer characters? Kids accepting that hey, not everyone is the cishet norm? Actual children teaching their parents that LGBT(etc.) stuff matters???? Equality starting at the youngest levels?!?

It was a simple peck on the cheek there was no harm, why is it bad for two gems to kiss there only in the form of female humans its a lovely show.

I adore Steven Universe, and these episodes are no exception. LGBT media is becoming more and more present, and parents need to realize children need to see positive representation of the LGBT community if they exoect them to be good people later on in life.

It makes me mad that this even needs a debate. Steven Universe is a wonderful show and I'm glad for all this representation. I want this show to continue so it can keep up the great work.

I'm sure they wont cancel the show, or censor it, seeing as how most of the people that watch it -aren't- total idiots. It actually amazes me that people are still holding onto

Why would someone even do that? There is nothing wrong with these kind of episodes. This is just another form of love. Steven Universe, shouldn't be cancelled.
