Parents need to stop being homophobic towards amazing shows such as this one, and any other shows. Stop brain washing your children, parents. The homophobia must. stop.

It definitely shouldn't be censored, they didn't even properly kiss! It was a kiss on the cheek.

I've liked Steven Universe for at least a year now, before this explosion of gem fans, and will always support the show and any of Rebecca Sugar's ideas. Don't like it? Watch something else.

As someone who's part of the queer community, I understand how difficult it is learning to accept who you are with literally no one else to relate to. Seeing this couple on Steven Universe has not only given me a lot of hope for children's cartoons, but for what those cartoons could potentially mean to the kids watching them. Imagine a child seeing this, and thinking to themselves "Wow! I'm not weird! There are people like me on television!". That's important to me.

This show is the best. It should stay uncensored on air.

The entire point of Ruby and Sapphire is not to focus on a "possible lesbian romance", but to give an example of Gem Fusions displayed in the show. To show two characters who are SO happy with each other, SO in love, that they'd prefer to remain fused as one than be apart. Garnet is the embodiment of love, and that love makes her a perfect fusion. It also then explains, later in the same show, why the villain is vanquished. Children are smart enough to get the context that "they weren't good for each other". The show promotes such positivity, and I am in awe that parents would not want their children to witness what is essentially the most loving and stable relationship so far shown on in the cartoon.

I'm absolutely outraged that people don't want their kids to see stuff like this when it's empowering and it works to abolish the hate.

word, seriously there is absolutely zero negative outcomes from seeing a smooch involving two of the same gender being shown before kids. Besides, it doesn't have to be seen as romantic (although I don't blame the people who believe it is). There is nothing wrong with something so simple and caring. I hope this gets more signatures because it honestly deserves all the support it can get.
