I believe entry via Stanwell Street to the new development will endanger Children that access Taobh na Pairce nursery and school and also the children that access Pilrig Park from this street.

The safety of the schoolchildren and nursery infants is paramount - using the alternative route via Tennant Street, as originally planned, will ensure their safety in this area.

The original permission was given when the development was to have been for fewer houses and a care home , which would have resulted in far less traffic, especially around the start of the school day . Since there already is an acceptable access via Tennant Street I do not believe we should endanger school children and infants and that planning permission should be refused

Common sense would be to provide vehicle access via Tennant Street. No need to compromise the safety of pupils.

I strongly object to there being vehicular access to a housing complex via Stanley Street as this places children at increased risk and there is already another entrance point that could be used that would not alter the safety of Stanley Street.

It would be devastating if a child's life is lost because vehicular access was granted to the new housing complex adjacent to the sgoil araich/bun sgoil. Please do not grant the access. Bonnington Road is already busy enough without the increased risks associated with proposed vehicular access.

This route is well used by many families as it connects the school, playground and park. Please keep it safe for our children who walk, cycle and scoot this way. In a time when children are being encouraged to keep fit safe routes to school are important.

The safety of children is absolutely paramount here so please could you put this at the top of the agenda and re-consider the access route? If there is even one accident it will be one too many. Thank you.

Access through Stanwell Street would be unsafe. It is very near a busy school gate.

Access to schools should be safe. This should be a criteria overriding developments.

Please, please keep Stanwell street safe and AVOID making it a vehicle access route. This is not only about safety for the school children but also about safety for ALL users of Pilrig Park.

..And how cynical to gain planning permission on the basis they were to include a care home, only to change the plans to what I suspect they originally intended all along once building had begun! Seems typical of the way businesses get around ECC all the time...

When there is already access to be made available via Tennant street then I believe adding one at Stanwell Street directly outside school nursery gates where the street itself is already fairly narrow for parked and moving cars causes even more greater risk for children crossing and this is being signed on the day where Edinburgh council are introducing no traffic zones around 6 Edinburgh schools with a view to rolling out further due to safety concerns
