Keep Spring Ridge at Northwood. As a Spring Ridge resident, not a parent, I support my local community school by volunteering and financial gifts. It is the closest elementary school to my home. Please keep SR and Northwood together.

I'm in Lake Forest which is connected (and technically closer) to Northwood. This move creates huge issues for the area. 1) We are now talking about having people that have to fight traffic to take their children to a school that is farther away. Personally, I would have to adjust my route to work to get on 400N from exit 7 now rather than exit 9 and I'm sure I'm not the only one with that type of issue. This will be creating more traffic on an already overly congested Holcomb Bridge Rd. 2) This would also send buses from 2 different schools down Old Alabama, which is already way over crowded in the mornings. 3) It takes as long for us to DRIVE to Hillside as it does to WALK to Northwood. And there are plenty of people who do walk their kids to school. 4) Northwood Elementary is a part of our community as well. We go to their events and have supported the school. 5) In order to get to Northwood, you MUST take Old Alabama to get there, so why would you make children that LIVE on the street you MUST take to get there go to another school? Making Lake Forest and Spring Ridge (and any of the communities on the South side of Old Alabama) move away from a school that is essentially across the street will only cause detriment to all of the Old Alabama communities and the families that live there.

This redistricting proposal is not a healthy proposal, it will disturb the way of schooling to our children in a bad way. Very disappointing.

I too love within walking distance of our school. As a public health professional, removing the possibility of walking to school is seriously detrimental to the physical and mental health of these children. Neighborhood communities should be nurtured and cultivated.

These parents DO walk their children to school. What alone does that have to say about family structure, neighbors helping neighbors, fuel savings, intervention in childhood obesity, physical exercise and interaction? The extra traffic alone seems to be a dramatic reason that this is NOT a good idea. Everyone involved here has done their homework. Please let's these children continue to remain enrolled at Northwood.

I think it's very important to our community to keep the kids from Spring Ridge at Northwood.

Please keep the Spring Ridge Community in the Northwood Elementary Community. If you do not, you my daughters will be losing more than half of their closest friends. Northwood is number 1 in Fulton county largely due to the community we have created. If the community is split up, I am certain Northwood will lose its status as the leading academic elementary school in the County. Fulton County cannot afford to alter the functionality of schools like Northwood.

I'm a resident of Lake Forest and we too are grouped with Spring Ridge to relocate. As a father of a 5 yr old who is about to start 1st grade this move will have a negative impact on our family and the neighborhood. The relocation goes against the majority of criteria set by the School Board. Keep Lake Forest AND Spring Ridge at Northwood!!
