Sports are a vital part of the education for these students and should not be ignored. Why is there no school paid coach? For so many years there has been a teacher\coach at this school, what happened?

This will be counterproductive for all of the kids playing a sport. Having them take PE in addition to playing a sport will push the kids away from trying out, it will force the kids to practice longer hours after school and will force them to start working on their homework well into the night.

Having student athletes not starr practice until after school is just going to cause them to be at school longer and later prolonging there homework time farther into the night. This late night work can possibly cause a decline in their academic success.

This will be unfair to Out student athletes who will be applying to universities. The student athlete show the universes that they are a well rounded person and can do their work while having an extra curricular activity. If you take these sports away you putting them at a disadvantage against other students.

High School Baseball gives students an additional dimension to their transcripts and can increase their chances to get accepted to universities and further advance their education.

Just another attempt to implement a ridiculous policy that is burdens students with a class (PE) which is not needed. Those on sports teams, cheer squad, dance team, dance guard, marching band should not be saddled with PE. And it doesn't make sense to make students in these activities take part in them exclusively after school. It reminds me of the draconian detention policy (doling out unnecessary detentions and then penalizing them on top of that if they can't clear them according to the whims of the administration). But then, Granada is not about the students and what's best for them, sorry.
Any policy change such as this should be allowed input by students, parents, and teachers.

What GHCHS is doing about sports are wrong because of the amount of time that the students will have to do homework or other personal things.
