This should not be made by the school board members alone. It should be a district vote of the people!!!

it's interesting how all level of government uses smoke screens to cover what they're really doing.

So because it's 6 years from full implementation we shouldn't worry in your opinion?! Your kids must be out by then... we all simply need more information. Please attend the meeting tuesday simply so we can all educate ourselves further.

Having been educated and raised in Spencerport I am concerned that the benefit to our community is not explained. This is a great example of expenditure of resources for people that have no vested interest in this community other than to garner tax payer subsidies. How does NYS benefit is questionable?

I don't think it's right Spencerport residents need to pay school taxes while others don't. Students in out laying areas such as Greece, gates, henrietta... Etc can't choose to send their kids to Spencerport and vice versa. It's just not right.

if students are allowed to attend school districts other than where you live, then why don't they allow suburban or rural student go to affluent schools like Pittsford? Because you don't pay to live there that's why! there are low income and subsidised housing options in suburban districts so the so called minority poor already do have a choice to attend our schools! the only reason our school district wants this is money! VOTE NO!

These programs are no benefit to our community. Our resources should be dedicated to our children.

Maybe Michael Crumb can explain why this urban to suburban program is discrimitory towards Caucasian students. Caucasian city students are NOT eligible under any circumstances and all applicants must meet "minority" requirements ( as defined by NYS). If this program is set in place to help city school students then why doesn't it apply to ALL city school students? Who is going to pay for these students breakfasts and lunches and school supplies? Maybe Monroe County superintendent's should focus on bettering city schools and implementing programs within those schools to help their students...

I strongly oppose this program and to think it would "bring an exchange of perspectives and prepare our students for a more global community after graduation" has no merit. Stop waisting our money.

Strongly oppose this program. I have seen too many districts ruined by the Urban Suburban Program. Inviting problems into the school system. Residents have worked hard to live in the suburbs to send their children to good schools.
