On Tuesday December 9th the Spencerport Boardof Education will be asked to pass the implementation of the Urban Suburban Program into our schools. Once accepted, students are permanent to our classes and more can be added yearly.
Please keep Spencerport school resources allocated to our Spencerport students.
Please Sign and (if you can!) attend the Board Meeting this Tuesday, December 9th at Munn Elementary at 7:00pm. We will be given an opportunity to speak to the board of education before they make their permanent ruling.

The real issue is what this does to the city school district. If we continue to pick out there highest performers then is there any doubt they will continue to struggle with attendance and graduation rates?
This decision shouldn't be made by school board members alone. It should be a district wide decision. I hope all attend the meeting to voice their opinions.
Having been educated and raised in Spencerport I am concerned that the benefit to our community is not explained. This is a great example of expenditure of resources for people that have no vested interest in this community other than to garner tax payer subsidies. How does NYS benefit is questionable?
i have worked my adult life to keep my family in Spencerport and SCSD and strongly oppose this program. Our kids can be taught about diversity, patience, compassion without bussing in kids from other areas. I pay my taxes to support Spencerport kids and families and have for the last 33 years. NO to this program--sorry!!!!
I moved from the city, in 1977, so when I had children they could go to a good school system. I have paid Spencerport school taxes for many years now. How do you bus kids to our schools when they don't pay Spencerport school taxes.
The urban suburban program is pure and simple a money grab, ineffective and is racially bias, therefore should have never been considered in the first place. the people of Spencerport struggled and worked to earn the right to live in this district and so should everyone else who wants their children to go to school here. no school should support such a program its just another form of welfare and will only serve to bring the quality of education down in our district. the city school districts carry the same programs our schools have what makes the Spencerport school board think our teachers are better than city school teachers if a child wants to learn they will learn in any enviroment regardless of school districts
What is in this for MR CRUMB ? Next time he runs for higher office does he want inner city votes ?

This is not a fair program and it will cost the taxpayers more money. The district gets state aid for each student and we pay school taxes on top of that. Who is going to pay the school taxes that would normally be generated from a in-district studen'ts household?
