I am 80, my husband is 86 and my son is a disabled Vet and need this close to take care of some problems we may have as none of us drive long distances any more.

This potential closure is absurd. Let the people in east Maricopa county use the Mesa office and allow the people in east Pinal county use the existing office in Apache Junction. It ain’t broke so don’t try o fix it!

Where is the justifiable reasoning for the move? There's too many reasons not to move and I haven't heard any reasons for the move, so assume someone's hairbrained idea. I oppose the move.

I know from experience how slow and time consuming a trip to this office maybe but it's close and the only one that's not in Maricopa county that's close to us.

We have lots of elderly people here & people with out vehicles, how they gonna get to Gilbert one. Pandemic isn't there fault to keep it used, but once back open it'll be used, just like DMV couldn't go in tell finally & it's crazy spending money on new one that can't be accessed where do you park then?

It looks like it would be very cost effective to leave the SS office in Apache Junction, AZ instead of moving it. Please keep the SS office in Apache Junction, AZ open. Thank you.

Please keep this office open where the majority of the area is of retirement age, and at poverty level.

There's enough stuff in the U.S. Gov't that needs fixing . . . leave the Apache Junction Soc Sec office alone--go do something useful.

The logistics just doesn’t make sense! Close Gilbert or close none!
37% of the Apache Junction population are of retirement age vs 8% in Gilbert. There are msny more seasonal elderly in Apache Junction., and a significant number of disabled in comparison as well. People that would have a very difficult time traveling from Apache Junction to Gilbert.

We have many seniors and medically retired neighbors that need this facility close by. Some have to rely on friends or family for transportation.

Please rethink your proposed decision to move the SSA office to Gilbert. This move would be 21 miles away (roughly the same distance as the current office in Mesa) and the proposed Gilbert office would be 6 miles from the existing Mesa one. The Apache Junction Office is great for the East Valley (Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, Queen Valley, San Tan, East Mesa).
