It is so hot. I have not had a good nights sleep. I do not even want to be in my room from how hot it is. I need my room temperature at 67 degrees. I pay full tuition so this is literally completely ridiculous. I should be comfortable in my dorm room, considering the fact that SMU makes everyone live on campus for 2 years. What a shame.

Yes, SMU should be using money towards academics but this is clearly not the way. How about not watering the grass by Dallas so much? Seriously, I'd rather sleep than having a neon green lawn

I really don't want to be sweating all night every night. It is only 4 degrees that makes a huge difference.

The thermostats are too inaccurate for this policy to be viable. There is too much variance from room to room and building to building due to age and other factors. The policy directly and negatively affects the quality of life of students in some areas more than others. It's just rubbish.

I spend most of my time in my room. I would appreciate it if it could be somewhere where I actually feel comfortable.

The thermostats are set that way in the labs, libraries and classrooms all to save money and they are stuffy at best. Guess we will be snoozing through class as well. We pay good money to at least be comfortable.

I can't sleep with the temperature of the room above 72 degrees, so I won't be able to get any sleep with the new range because it will be too hot.

I cannot sleep with it so hot. It should be the roommates decision collectively to decide what temperature they want the room.
I cannot sleep at night.
This is absurd.
Help we are dying in this heat.
please
