Should be able to control the temperature you desire in your own room - especially in Texas where it gets to be very very hot..

it is so hot in the rooms - very uncomfortable, not good for living or sleeping. Overall disruptive to everyday life in the dorms. Especially since the weather is only getting hotter as we approach the summer months. AC needs to be at least 68 degrees!!!

It is so hot in my room every morning. I walk into my room from the hall way and can feel the change in heat. It's un-enjoyable to sleep and live in

We need the temperature to maintain the way it was initially. Keep the low at 68 degrees please!

I do not currently live in a dorm, but the science and research is all very clear on this issue. Let's try saving money on the sprinkler usage and aesthetic construction projects instead please.

With the tuition at SMU, I find it so upsetting that they want to control temperatures in the dorms. This is where our children and grandchildren live and study. Why discourage their learning by controlling something like the temperature??,, my granddaughter has a high bunk and I know for a fact.....she experiences warmer temperatures and with this change..it will be unbearable. Our kids are responsible enough to set the thermostat to control what they are accustomed to. Of all times of the year to do this??,? When the weather becomes warmer???? Just not the right thing to do now SMU. What is your thermostat on?

This is unbelievable. The amount of money that students pay at SMU and you can't even make your room cold enough.

If we pay so much for tuition and boarding, we should be able to have control over our temperature.

I believe we pay enough to keep students comfortable in their living quarters...why hasn't SMU gone green with some type of solar powered air conditioning???

I can't sleep unless it's 69 degrees or lower. 72 would be torture.

The temperature has only been adjusted for two days and I am already getting nose bleeds due to the dry heat and can't sleep through the night. I agreed to pay room and board under the impression that I was going to be living in air conditioned dorms. Taking that away now is both unfair and dishonest.

my froom gets serious nosebleeds at night due to the heat of the room...I also wake up in sweats from dreams often, I prefer the room very cool and we just got a billion dollars.
