Silke is a force for good in the community, she has championed people who are in poor economic conditions and has been working to better their lot in life.

Both Silke and her partner Sakshin have a made a significant contribution to the development of their local community of which they have become an integral part. They bring highly valuable and benficial skills to NZ and I hope that the family will be allowed to stay in this country that has become their home.

This family is a huge contributor to the community on so many different levels. We should be encouraging more people like this to be part of our communities.

I have seen Silke offer her wide range of IT and technical skills to the Victory Wifi Project. I must say I am surprised that someone with her advanced technical skills who has a proven record of working with underprivileged communities to improve connection and open up options of education and social mobility has not been granted residency. I also feel that the fact she is a woman who possesses these skills in an area of which women are chronically unrepresented should not be over looked.
