The parental support is unbelievable at this school. I have visited so many schools in the past with low parent support. This puts this school above all others in my book.

My son would be devastated if Scholar's Academy closes! He is an excellent student. However, he also shy and attached to the leaders and students. Please keep our school open!

We need Scholars Academy around. Scholars Academy is a great school, my child enjoy going to school there.
This school has helped many students and needs to stay open, please do not close this school, I have seen such great progress in my Grand child since he enrolled in this school

I am a parent of a Scholars student. I was unable to attend last week's meeting due to my attendance at the GCEL Conference in Savannah. On the first day of the conference one of the keynote speakers, Dr. Jim Grant, spoke about the unique challenges faced by all schools in terms of the diversity within our schools. One interesting point that Dr. Grant made that we often receive students in our schools who are not ready for school for various reasons and we are expected to "catch up" these students by third grade. Our school is no different than most except, we receive students from the traditional public school abundant with resources, to our school with limited resources and then are expected to produce drastic improvements in our overall test scores or lose our charter. Over the past three years our school as undergone growth in terms of resources, students and a stable facility. While our test scores have not shown the marked growth that we had hoped we are making strides to get there. Parents such as myself are committed to having Scholars Academy as our school of choice. For several of our students, they have only been educated in a charter school environment because parents believe that charter schools offer something that is not found in the traditional public school.

Please refer to the statistics taken directly from the DOE's website. The statistics will show that our school has not under performed since its inception.
