Ron is an incredible professor and mentor. He is an overwhelmingly positive individual who places value on creating student-teacher relationships, and he always will take a minute to chat with current and past students. His clear passion for teaching about ASL and the Deaf community shines through in the hallway and classroom. Ron is a source of encouragement for many students, and losing him would mean a great loss for the students in the DFST program, and whoever is lucky enough to take his Intro to Deaf Studies class. Ron has demonstrated commitment to Towson's students for many years. It's time that the university extend to him that same commitment.

The DFST program at Towson has been full of an unprecedented amount of disappointment. This is the lowest blow we could receive. Ron Fenicle has been one of the most important and positive people I have met during my time at the university. When I questioned myself he listened to me and gave advice I could not thank him enough for. I would have dropped out if it wasn't for Ron. He supported all of us. He was passionate and enthusiastic every day in the classroom. I do not know a single person who has been lucky enough to be taught by him who wouldn't say they adore him. He teaches his classes in a way that challenge us all to take responsibility for our own educations, while still being there for when we struggle the most. If TU loses Ron they will truly be losing one of the most valuable people in the DFST program.

A strong teacher-student relationship is important for students to learn. If a student does not like their teacher they will not want to learn. Ron is loved by many. Fire him and you will take away many students motivation to learn
