So sad. We have a boxer as well and couldn't imagine losing him over something so silly. He has accidentally given me several scratches (including a pretty bad one very close to my eye), but that's because he's a lover and always wants to jump up to be close to his mom and dad. I can't wrong him for that! Best of luck.

This is a wonderful family that trained this dog to have manners and be gentle. Ridiculus!

The dog wasn't attacking the victim, they just want more money by trying to press charges. He is a big dog and most of the time they don't realize they are as big as they are. I'm sure this dog didn't mean to "hurt" the "victim".

This is not a dog who is constantly reported as running at large or even aggressive. Please don't do this to this family!

a single incident does not indicate a pattern of bad behavior. Puppies get excited; older dogs with fading eyesight/hearing can be startled. When adults make a mistake, they say sorry and move forward - let the dog have a second chance.

People need to understand that animals are not just an animal, they are family and we love them like our own children. I dealt with this myself here in Maquoketa, Iowa. My dog, a pit bull, did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and I was forced to get rid of her or face being charged over $800.00 every single day that I kept her. Not once has any other member of this community had to get rid of their putbull. If you walk or drive around Maquoketa, you will see pit bulls being walked in public by their owners. I honestly feel your pain and hope that you are able to keep Rocky, a member of your family.

I have a boxer/pit, she is the friendliest dog and of her 9 years has never bit anyone. I would be devastated to lose her.
Leave the dog alone
