No one should have to give up their dog because of an accident. Just ridiculous. Hope it all turns out well!!!!

Every dog should be given at least one chance. Who knows what precipitated the bite. My parents has a dog that had never bitten and she did one time (protecting) and has never bitten again. I think people are too quick to jump the gun and I suppose next they will be looking for more money.

Where is the proof that it was a dog bite as opposed to a nail scratch when the dog jumped. My dogs tend to jump and I get nail scratches all the time... Certainly it isn't worth losing a dog over!

I walk a lot in the evening and run into Ann and Rocky walking. Rocky has always been loving and friendly. I have often stopped to pet him or say hi to Ann. Please look at these cases on an individual bases. He is a great dog.

This is very similar to what happen with our boxer years ago and it broke our hearts. May you never have to feel that pain with Rocky!

I do not believe the dog should be taken in 1 incident put the dog on a probation period at the least good luck to the dog owners hope for the best

I don't understand how you guys can let this happen!!! She didn't press charges in the first place so why should he be removed now? That isn't fair that she had no problem with the "attack" before and now she does. How does that make sense????

Rocky is a great family dog, my grandson is around Rocky 24/7 nothing has ever happened before. Rocky should be able to stay in his home.

Why did the dog jump on the victim? I have two boxers, in Burlington, and they don't know how big they are and tend to jump on people. My female doesn't bite but she does stomp. A guy was walking by, who harassed our dogs, and my female got out and, basically, attacked him. Left a scratch on his heel from stomping but I got ticketed for dog bite. Never was threatened to have my dog removed, though. Boxers are NOT mean animals. The city should allow Rocky to stay with his family IN Mt. Pleasant.
We forgive humans for a lot worse "crimes".
