Roanoke College finally kept this predator off campus. We forced them to put student safety over their bottom line and they actually listened. Stay vigilant because we must keep fighting to ensure this kind of filth never gets a seat in our classrooms again.

In March of 2015, a Roanoke College student was raped by a another student. After charges were brought up, he was suspended from the school. Now that the criminal trial is over he is trying to re-enroll as a student. Multiple individuals have stepped forward and said that his behavior towards the victim is NOT incongruent to his personality and past actions. Others have stated that similar actions have been imposed on them at the hands of this student. If he is allowed back, no female student will be able to feel safe. A mahority of the student body will be put at risk. We ask you to sign the petition, stand by your fellow students, and stand by a campus culture of respect and safety. If you are worried about signing and remaining anonymous, we urge you sign with your student ID number which will not give your name to anyone other than the Dean of Students. We plan on submitting this petition to the Dean formally on December 8th and appreciate all of the support we can get before it is submitted as well as continued support after the submission!

Anna is the strongest, most loving person I know. She's my best friend and I hate to see her go through something like this and to see him get off. He deserves to go to jail for what he has done and I will stand by her until justice is served to him. We will do whatever it takes.

I am unsure of how he got away with this in criminal court besides the fact that his lawyer was a great one. However, the criteria for finding him "guilty" in criminal court and finding him "responsible" in the school hearing are very different. His verdict in court has less weight in the hearing than one might think.

90% of rapists are repeat offenders. Knowingly putting this person back on campus, where he has already violated our student conduct code and is a danger to other students, is a violation of our Title IX right to a safe learning environment.

As much as we pay for our children to be there we expect them to be as safe as possible, do not let a known assailant back on that campus with my child.

I don't know the details, but we should all call or email Roanoke's title ix coordinator and tell them that we fear our right to a safe education is being violated by knowingly enrolling a sex offender.

As our college, it is their duty to keep the students enrolled here safe. If this individual is allowed to renroll, the safety and security of each and every one of us will be jeopardized.

Frank Costanza, please read the court transcript once posted. This may shed light on the other side of the store left out in the petition above. Then maybe God can forgive the alleged victim for lying. I too am an engineer in the same area... and after reading the transcript the victims credibility is obviously lacking.
