I am appalled at the intended closure of this branch. I simply do not believe the figure of only 78 people using the branch in a week. I have been in the branch when I counted 11 customers waiting to be served and this was on just a single occasion. Also there are usually two staff on counter duty and sometimes even three - this indicates to me that it is quite a busy branch.
Furthermore i Natwest are breaking their promise of a few years ago not to close a branch if it was the last bank in a locality. They are clearly reneging on an undertaking which they made.
If this goes ahead, we will have lost all three banks, a building society and a post office - what a disaster and a crushing blow for Rhiwbina.

If the bank are working In partnership with the post office why don't they look at changing the site to joint usage as there is no post office in the village either.

We need to think of those who are not comfortable with telephone or Internet banking, especially those most vulnerable in society.

Great loss for the village & local services. First the post office in Beulah Road; bus services cut; Library under threat - now Bank going. Shame

Mum is 92 the service she gets is second to none from Gill and the team. They know their customers many of whom are of a senior age & gave accounts at the branch for years. The post office is no longer in the village not convenient for all.

Very disappointing if Natwest closes their branch in Rhiwbina. They should stick to their promises!

Would hate to see this branch close, friendly staff, and easier to park than the alternatives.

The only reason I closed my HSBC account was to open a Nat West account that was local. The staff know everyone, helpful and efficient.

As a family we use this branch regularly. Very unhappy if it goes. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

This local branch has fantastic staff who could sort out most things in minutes unlike online and phone banking. Natwest ran a whole ad campaign about staying local, what happened to those promises?

It will be a very sad day for Rhiwbina if Natwest do close their branch in Rhiwbina. I trust that common sense prevails and Natwest reconsider this unpopular decision

Besides taking away the only Bank left in Rhiwbina, Natwest is depriving the area of vital services for a largely elderly population. This branch has provided not just financial services but has given social help to customers who are vulnerable people. Natwest, pay something back to Society.

I will close my Natwest account and move banks. This bank and the helpful staff there are the only reason I stay with Natwest.

This is so not fair to the local residents of Rhiwbina who have a long walk for another bank. Not everyone has a car and Internet banking older customers like myself like a friendly face to speak to.
Will certainly miss the staff & this facility.
