I am against this, they need to make an access from Long Point, This is a small neighborhood and I would like it to stay this way. we will end up with more traffic and the kids will not be safe to play in the streets, ride bikes etc.. There is no reason for them to have access through Reverse St. Mimi

We bought this house so our kids could play outside. Passing this variance will severely endanger their safety. Please, Brenda and all those involved - this can easily be resolved by making the new development's entrance be on Long Point only, instead of into our neighborhood.

We moved to this neighborhood because of the quiet streets. We want to live in a neighborhood where our children can ride bikes in the streets safely.

I strongly oppose this variance.

Please oppose Variance Request #2018-1572. To give the new townhome community their own and better access to a main road that can handle additional traffic, it is best for all parties involved to have their main point of access and neighborhood entrance on Long Point.

I strongly appose this variance. Opening up Reverse Street and Westview Terrace to Long Point will increase traffic and crime by making a cut through for cars coming from Long Point and Hempstead Highway to Westview, avoiding the lights on Silber. Increased traffic through neighborhood streets will increase accidents, and make it easier to burglarize home and cars in the neighborhood. It will create an easy escape route, and less awareness of suspicious activity by residents.

I oppose this variance as it would result in a safety hazard for this Spring Branch neighborhood. It encroaches a physical detriment on the taxpayers and owners of the affected adjacent neighborhood.

I am against opening up reverse st.

It makes no sense for a development of this size to have its main points of ingress and egress through the neighborhood while Long Point is better suited to handle the volume of traffic.

The increased traffic and safety issues presented by this request are unacceptable. There is access to a major thoroughfare from the property and it should be used for access to the site. This is not part of our neighborhood and the developer should not be allowed to fundamentally alter our community for its sole benefit.

As a resident of Westview Terrace, specifically on Story St, where the cut-through traffic is already horrendous, we are hereby opposed to the proposed new patio home development on the 5-acre site just north of Reverse St and Teluco having a single point of access through our Westview Terrace neighborhood at Reverse St. There are several reasons why this development should have their main entrance on Long Point: • The sheer amount of traffic that this new neighborhood will generate, including construction trucks, construction crews, and eventually residents, delivery trucks, City of Houston Public Works, visitors, et cetera, will negatively impact our Westview Terrace community. • We already have an excess amount of non-resident cut-through traffic on the main streets of our Westview Terrace neighborhood (such as Story, Teluco, Zora, Aldrich, Saxet, and Schiller), which will be increased 5-fold or more if this variance is allowed to go through. The current situation on certain streets is already dangerous with too many vehicles driving through at high speeds. Residents have long tried to have this fixed to no avail. • To give the new patio home community their own identity and better access to a main thoroughfare, it is best for all parties involved to have their main point of access and neighborhood entrance on Long Point. • Long Point is already a main road that can handle the additional traffic and already has delivery trucks and the like moving down the road daily. At that part of Long Point there should be no issues with having an entrance or exit. Traffic should still be able to flow easily and cars should have no issue getting in and out of the neighborhood. We bought in Westview Terrace, because it was a lovely, quiet community near the heart of this great city. While we are not opposed to development, we do not want to see this neighborhood become louder and more dangerous from increased traffic if there is a simple answer to the issue. I h

Please oppose Variance Request #2018-1572, Support Westview Terrace !!!!

I find it odd that with Chapter 42 placing so much emphasis on "Community" and safety, that we'd have this request considered by the COH. This gated, walled, and segregated "retreat" will be no retreat for our community, with major traffic increases on our tiny streets. Our streets are already clogged with too many parked cars, junk cars, and the multitude of cars of houses filled with too many people. Having this gated community stuck inside our small community will certainly not increase the feeling of "community" we hear so much about from our city leaders. With Longpoint, which is already designed to handle this kind of feeder traffic, immediately available; why would anyone propose to use Reverse as an access point ? The answer is about maximizing profits from placing residential townhomes on a plainly commercial tract, and trying to create a "retreat" at the expense of the Westview Terrace Community's quality of life and safety. Those townhomes will also create more issues regarding the continuing defense of our "two-story" and single family deed restrictions, which townhome builders have been trying to ignore for 20 years. Please oppose this overt intrusion into our quiet community.

Please create an entrance to this new development off Longpoint. Also create some type of retention pond for these patio homes as we all know they will be built on higher ground than we currently are.

Strongly oppose. Allowing access through our community to a disconnected, disinterested development is like allowing strangers to walk through your living-room on their way to work - leaving you with no control over any type of conduct.

I not only oppose the variance. I would like to see that section of Reverse St. turned into a lot so we never have this issue again

I am extremely concerned with how this would convert our streets into major thorough fares. I am also concerned woth hkw this development will affect our flooding/drainage issues.
