Please leave Appling as it is now. We do not need a large influx of homes/persons into our area.

I moved here 17 years ago for piece and quiet. I love Appling. I do NOT want it to turn into what Grovetown has. I'm just fine with our one gas station and dollar store. Believe me if it does turn for the worse I WILL be moving to Lincolnton!!

This does not need to be another Grovetown. Keep it safe the more houses the more crime!!!

Appling, the county seat, is no longer a city. The residents chose to allow the charter to lapse. The residents at that time did not want a city. The current Columbia County residents in the Appling area chose to live there because they preferred a more rural setting. Though they have made their decision, they are going to have to be certain to express that decision to the Columbia County Commission in person. Opinions expressed on social media will not make be recorded as part of the official conversation, thus Easily ignored. Write all 5 of them. Call them. And, go to a Commission meeting and speak to them on the record :)

As someone who grew up in the Appling/Leah community, I sure would hate to see it destroyed this way. Please keep it rural!

Appling is a lovely small town and should be the pride of Columbia County. There are already neighborhoods that have failed.1

Fill in all the closer areas before destroying the rural character of these areas. It just doesn't make good sense to do otherwise.

Keep the current zoning.

Keep property values up, don't over develop. Protect the reason taxpayers want to live in the county!
