Professor Wender is undoubtable one of the best professors at UW. He provides students with an alternative viewpoint that comes from his previous experience as a police officer. His perspective forces students to actually THINK, something that is quite difficult to come by.

His lecture were fun to attend while also being very educational. Professor Wender made me want to come to class everyday. By the way he talked to the students you knew how considerate and caring he was towards all of them. He genuinely wishes the best for all of us. Definitely a professor I'll always remember.

Professor Wender was a wonderful professor. The way he taught was incredibly helpful in understanding the material and he wasn't afraid to push you to think about the issues in everyway. I loved his classes and I hope that future students will have the oportunity to learn from him as well.

I took his intro to criminal justice class and he is one of the most engaging professors who actually cares about whether his students do well not just inside the classroom but in real life
as well.

My transcript includes more of Professor Wender's classes than any other professor. Professor Wender forced you to think critically about topics we have generally accepted as part of our daily lives (i.e. police, criminal justice system, etc.); while at times it was uncomfortable, Professor Wender welcomed this struggle. On top of all of this, Professor Wender made himself available to all of his students in order to facilitate intellectual conversation and to be a reference in our professional work. Please reconsider, UW.

I took a course by Wender my freshman year out of curiosity, and I was blown away by his engaging teaching and material. He is far better than many other professors I have had at UW, and I sincerely hope that the UW will reconsider the termination of his contract.

Professor Wender is one of those teachers who comes along once in a lifetime, if you're lucky. He is one of the most passionate, compassionate, inspired, and inspiring instructors I have had the pleasure of learning from. It would be a shame to deny future students the chance to learn from someone with so much real-world experience and such dedication to teaching.
