Professor Wender was the reason why I became an LSJ major when I wanted to change after a parade of bad teachers. He is without a doubt my favorite professor for my college experience and it would severely irritate me to know that they have kept professor Weis or Pfaff and let him go. I'm just saying get it together.

Out of the professors at UW, he has been one of the most real and unafraid professors I have ever had. Wender's class was one of the most memorable and frankly useful classes I took and it is important to have teacher who are not afraid to say things just because they are a little "ugly". Too many educators have become too afraid to state the gritty reality of how life is, especially in the States, Professor Wender did us the sincere service of laying out things honestly. Please reconsider for losing a professor like Jonathan Wender is a disservice to the school and its students.

Professor Wender has taught me to exoticize the familiar and think outside of myself. His sociology class was one of the best classes I have taken at UW and have still retained the information he taught.

Professor Wender is the most passionate professor I have encounter at UW. Wender makes you feel comfortable talking in class, and coming to him with questions. His class is interactive. So you learn much more than you would from a regular lecture. When my sibling considered coming to UW. I chose his class to have her to sit in on. His lecture was the decision maker between UW and Berkeley. By not renewing his contract you are doing a disservice to UW undergrad students.

Wender is probably my favorite professor I have had at UW. He is the reason I am considering a sociology minor and am planning on signing up for soc/LSJ classes that he teaches in the future simply because he teaches them. I've only had one other teacher I've enjoyed this much and it was in high school. The university should be trying to get more professors like this, not trying to get rid of them...

Professor Wender is by far the greatest inspiration I've had in my 3 years at UW. His energy, passion, and ability to leave me in a deep space is extremely inspirational. He not only has great wisdom to share, but is very influential on what it takes to be a man. Please don't put an end on his career here at UW. This university wouldn't be the same.

He is one of my favorite professors at UW! A huge mistake to remove him from the faculty. His passion, outside knowledge after working as a cop for decades, and his genuine interest in students learning are only a few of the reasons he should be kept on.
