I love how passionate he is making the students! He must've had an amazing influence on the students. I hope I have a chance to take a class from him.

The only professor I had that was truly there for the students. He's the reason I am proud to be a husky!

I graduated already but Jonathan Wender was my favorite professor throughout my college career, even though I'm a science major. It was impossible to not pay attention in class. His enthusiastic behavior mixed with brilliant mind and most importantly, his willingness to talk to any student outside of class, motivates me to sign this petition, as I want other Huskies to have the same experience I had.

Wender will be the one and only proffesor that I will remember 20 years from now from my undergraduate career. It will be a disservice to future lsj and soc students who wouldn't get the chance to be taught by such a carasmatic, lovable, funny, easy going, personable, and inspiring professor.

By far the best classes I took during my undergraduate time at the UW were taught by Professor Wender.

Professor Wender is an amazing professor who engages his students to actively learn and stretch their ways of thinking. His classes, out of all of the classes I've been in at UW, maintained the highest attendance rates which I think really says something about him as a professor and educator. Losing professor Wender would be a detriment to UW and a disservice to the students.

He is an amazing professor! He is the reason why I double majored in Sociology and LSJ at UW. To lose him wisdom in the classroom is to rob students of a great education.

I didn't go to UW or have this professor, but I know what it's like to have a professor who's a rockstar at what he does and one who makes a huge impact on their students so I'm signing this for all of you who did have him. :-)

As a graduate looking back on my time at UW Wender was, hands down, my favorite instructor. While I hope UW continues to employ him I wish him nothing but the best if he moves on to another university knowing that his new students will get to enjoy his lectures like I did for years to come

Professor Wender was by far my favorite professor at UW. He was more than willing to write me letters of recommendation and even my letters for my law school applications. Losing him as a professor at UW would be a serious loss for the university.

I have never had a professor who cared so much for my success, during my attendance and after graduating from the University of Washington. I would be extremely disappointed in this University if they let such a valuable asset go.

Haven't taken a class from him but if everyone thinks that he is a professor worth learning from then I believe it! There are definitely professors who don't do anything...

Do not rob future students from being able to learn from one of the best professors this university has.

Jonathan Wender's classes are among the best courses I have taken at anytime during undergrad, grad school, and law school. His emphasis on critical thinking, exoticizing the familiar, and "imagining otherwise" made for an incredibly engaging classroom experience. These lessons have undoubtedly influenced my academic path since undergrad and I feel very fortunate to have learned so much from Professor Wender.
