Absolutely one of my favorite professors at UW. I hope they reconsider this decision.

Professor Wender is one of my favorite professors at UW. I learned so much from his class, and am able to apply so many things that he taught me to my everyday life. Please keep him at UW!!

I've taken intro to social justice and he's a great guy, who has great passion for the topics he teaches. I learned a lot from him and I was looking forward to taking another class with him.

If students love to learn from him, you should give the students what they pay for.

I'm not sure its possible to overstate what a profound influence Professor Wender has had on my intellectual development as well as so many other students. Jonathan never shied away from difficult issues, but rather taught us all how to confront them and discuss them productively. If anybody embodies the best ideals of the Law Societies and Justice department it is him.

I have taken many classes with Wender and he has always been such a great professor. He has so much knowledge and passion for the topics he teaches. I was so disappointed when I heard his contract was not renewed. UW is making a big mistake.

One of the best, if not THE best professor I've had at the UW. His unique way of teaching always kept me engaged, even when it was a boring subject. One of the only professors on campus that genuinely cares about his students and what they learn. It shocked me to learn about his leave earlier this morning in class.

Baffled that the administration would do this; look out for what's in the students' best interest.

Professor Wender is not only one of the best professors I had at uw but one of my favorite teachers. He offers a great learning environment, has great anecdotes to share with the class related to course material and cares deeply about his students. Loosing professor Wender from the UW community would be a huge loss for all.

We need more professors like Jonathan Wender at UW. He's one of the most passionate, real, and engaging professors I've ever had. I was lucky enough to take two classes with him and it was two of the most fun classes I've ever taken. They were beyond difficult for me, but he taught me how to think critically and to see the world and academics in a new light. You can tell he truly cares about students and teaches them lessons beyond the classroom that they'll take with them outside campus. It would be a HUGE loss to the UW to not have Wender continue teaching.

Hands down best professor I have ever had. His methodology of teaching is amazing and it extremely effective in getting his point across. Not only an amazingly educated individual but an inspiring, passionate, and fun person to learn from. This is an absolute shock and a complete shame in regards to the LSJ and Soc department at the University of Washington....

Easily one of the best professors I've had at UW. Half the sociology department should be let go but this isn't one of those professors.

Jonathan Wender is one of the best professors I have ever had at the University of Washington. His teaching methods allow for consistently meaningful class discussions and the cultivation of critical thinking skills among his students. I was hoping to take many more classes from him in the future.

I had Crime and Politics with Professor Wender and I can say he's been one of my favorite professors. It would be a shame for his time at UW to be over too soon!
