Care places for a community with an ageing population are essential. Very short-sighted to consider closing this care home.

This home needs to stay open for the sake of the pensioners who need a little help and an easier life, probably worked all their lives for this, it's unethical to take it away. Leave priorsmead alone.

We will all need care places in the future. We should be opening more care homes not closing them.

One of the best run care homes around. Why close it when there is a shortage of care places.

When people at Norfolk County Council need places like this and there isn't one, they will realise their mistakes.

Say no to changes and closures. No thought or considerations ever given and buildings just left empty and to be vandalised.
All I have heard is good things about this home. The people of Thetford both our elderly and their families need piece of mind they and their loved ones are local and cared for with dignity and respect.
Keep your hands of Priorsmead.

We must save Priorsmead, it will be privately owned otherwise and residents will not recieve the great care that they do at present!

I worked here back in the 70's at weekends for one of my badges in the 4th Thetford cubs and scouts who also helped Mrs Mead who run the place with volunteer work. Keep this place open, its also part of Thetford's history.

Another example of 'austerity measures' exacted on the most vulnerable. Our elderly residents deserve continuity of care. This is not a good move Norfolk County Council.

This review needs to be stopped. Far too many homes earmarked for closure over the country when demand will only increase.

To close this home in the current situation and at this time of the year with no solid plans to deal with the consequences is sheer lunacy.

We relied on Priorsmead when caring for my beloved Grandma. It provided respite care when she/we most needed it. Please do not close this vital local care home.
