This is not a time to be closing a CQC underwritten care facility in this already socially deprived town. Rather a time to expand the service contrary to NCC's continuing negative mindset.

Please allow the care home to stay open while these elderly and vulnerable people live out their natural life with the excellent care and support given by the dedicated staff. This is their "HOME".

The care given to my brother in law when he was there before he passed could not have been bettered anywhere else. Keep the pressure on for such a local unit for the townspeople of Thetford, never mind the excuses it is too small to be viable.!!

I worked at Priorsmead for the last 6 years of my working life and after working in other homes in Thetford I can honestly say this is the best for training, management, careplans and carers. I loved going to work there and worked an extra year after my retirement date and would have gone on longer if it hadn't been for ill health. I have told my daughters that if they need to put me in a home its got to be Priorsmead and nowhere else, so please don't close it because I don't want to go and live with either of them.

I have had several dear friends who have made their home in this friendly place. I always found the staff to be kind and genuinely fond of their residents and the care given was excellent.

Keep local services local. There is a demand. There is more to care than a spreadsheet.
