As an avid polka show listener, supporter and UMass alumna I'm extremely disappointed at the cancellation of the Saturday morning polka programs. Shame, shame!

As a twenty five year old I grew up listening to polkas on wmua as with a lot of things in this world government along with management make decisions without thinking of the ramifications that theses decisions will bring about. Shame on those on the board they obviously have their heads up their behinds and have no clue as to what they have done. My parents have given plenty of money over the years to this station and what a slap in the face this is. I am glad I am not an alumni of this university I would be ashamed to be one.

Typical government has no idea what the polka shows have done for the community over the years and most importantly the money that has been raised over the years by the polka community . As a tax paying citizen of Massachusettes the entire board needs to fired.

IT'S HAPPY MUSI C AND THERE IS SO MUCH SADNESS ALL WEEK LONG ON THE NEWS. ARE YOU BEING PREDUCIED WITH THE POLISH MUSIC.
THINK LONG HARD BEFORE YOU DO UNJUSTICE TO THE STATION.

This has been a long-time part of community programming for the listening area. The hours designated for Polka need to be restored. These listeners had been true supporters including their important donations over the years.
