Polka music on WMUA has had generations an worldwide listeners and supporters over the decades. For Umass officials to eliminate is absolute sadness, some suspect it's a nasty backdoor hateness towards the DJs that have dedicated years of unpaid on air broadcasting. The timing of such was lower than gopher tunnels, UMass has nothing to gain from this only a major loss from all that have supported. Perhaps the entire weekend show can find another local affiliate will welcome the up beat polka programming. Sorry UMass, your actions come unjustified.
