I listen via internet - instead of decreasing the Polka Weekend Block from 12 hrs, I'd like you to INCREASE to 24 hrs - 6 on Saturday & 6 on Sunday

We have loved listening to the weekend polka for years. Although our families are not Polish, I remember how much my grandfather enjoyed listening on Saturday mornings. This is so sad, and so shortsighted on the administration's behalf.

Please keep the WMUA polka programming alive for all 12 hours (6 hours on Saturdays and 6 hours on Sundays). I have been listening to the polkas over the internet for many years as a Georgia resident. When I lived in Massachusetts, I listened to them directly on the WMUA radio station. I have also attended some of the events advertised during the polka programming when I vacation in Mass. It is a disgrace to take away this programming from loyal listeners and advertisers. As a graduate of UMASS Amherst, I am also disappointed in this decision to severely cut back the polka programming on WMUA.

For as long as I can remember I have listened to the Polish music on Saturday mornings. I think it's a shame that it is being taken off the air. It's a tradition that was started with my mother and grandmother. Even when I am not in the area I use the WMUA app to tune in. I don't think it's fair or right for to be happening and I want them back on the air asap!

It seem as though a lot of older folks simple pleasures of life are being squeezed out by people trying to change the harmless things that have been in place for decades.

Such an injustice is being done to all the people who listened to the polka shows over the years and to the people who donated to keep Polka music alive and to the dj's who volunteered their time, I'm sure at one point in time this station will recognize what they have done, with or without them Polka Music will go on!
Keep our polka shows going and growing,
Please keep the telecast as they are. Do not shorten.
