Polkas on WMUA have been a staple in that community for many years! Much of what WMUA is today is because of the hard working VOLUNTEER polka IJ's and DJ's as well as the vast amount of donations made by the polka public over the years. This is a virtual slap in the face! I'd love to understand the decision, more to the point, how the decision was made to do this! What data, information did they use to make this decision? Should they decide not to re-instate the programming, we collectively should look into getting our donations back from this year and investigate whether or not they were deceptive in the fundraising. I don't believe for a second that the "powers that be" weren't aware this was going to happen while they were taking our donations!

I grew up working on my Dziadzu's farm, J & J Farms, in Amherst and every weekend spent picking corn and veggies the polkas would be playing on any radio around.

We listen to the polkas every Saturday and Sunday at Ciesluk Farmstand. Many people who hear it on want to know what channel it is on! It is part of our heritage and it gets a lot of information out to the community about upcoming events! Please keep polka on!!!!

Please keep the polka block strong. It was sad when jazz was decimated, but this would be a tragedy. This is such a vital cultural asset and it would be a huge loss.

Absolutely a terrible and unwarrented decision by the management of WMUA. Polka music fans have provided the most financial support to this station. The management is SO WRONG here. How can you BITE the hand that feeds you!!!

Polka music has been a big part of my whole life. I have seen interest decline in the Minneapolis area over the years. This is very sad. I listen every Saturday and Sunday to the polka shows on WMUA via Polka Jammer. Don't let this part of our heritage disappear.

I am a faithful listener to the Polka Shows on WMUA . How dare you slap the people who work hard for there Polka shows and us listeners in the face. They run there own fundraiser and you turn and slap us in the face. Shameful is what you are. I was a supporter for WMUA but after this I shall not. Would you please reconsider your decision and overturn it bring back our beloved Polkas, I always looked at WMUA has a station with class please do the right thing and remain above the rest thank you.
