There would be no WMUA without the polka. Period. Their hours should be doubled.

Having been a polka dj for 38 years, 29 years on a commerical station and 29 years on Milwaukee Public Radio, I know and comprehend the amount of work , dedication, and profound amout of time involved in polka programs and their broadcast. I am pleading , as I did for donations from my audience on public radio, to reconsider your decisions regareding polka programming.

It will be a great loss to me and my Ohio friends to not be able to tune in to Mitch and Billy on Saturday mornings to listen to their polka shows. And reducing Todd and Helen's shows on Sunday's is almost as bad. They have done a great job of fund raising for the WMUA pledge drives too which makes the decision to end their shows even more ludicrous. Please reverse this decision and reinstate polka music on WMUA.

Makes you wonder what the real story behind this cutback is?

This is disgraceful. I will personally make sure that the number of WMUA listeners who listen to other shows in addition to the Polish programming decreases if this happens.
