This is a loss of hours for a great genre of music to be heard around the world, but also a time & talent that put in a great amount of effort both on and off the air. This is a radio station not inhibited by commercial responsibilities, but they should be considering this a public service to educate and entertain their listening audience to help keep polka music alive and progressing!

Our family has listened to and supported WMUA because of the Polka program for two generations. The program makes UMass "our" university.

Please don't reduce radio programming at WMUA. The polka shows on Saturdays and Sundays give pleasure to so many listeners. Thank you.

This is just wrong. The Polka shows not only serve as a conduit to the community, they have clearly shown their ability to raise money for WMUA through the years. I sincerely hope that the management at WMUA reconsiders their decision as this could substantially effect their listening audience, not to mention their bottom line.

I listen on the internet and have enjoyed the programming for years. It is a travesty to have the Polish community contribute so much to the fundraiser and boot the shows from the air. If you are not going to keep the 12 hours of weekly programming, then at least refund all the Polish contributions from the donors, otherwise WMUA stole the money from the people.

As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing else on WMUA that's worth listening to EXCEPT the polkas. Leave them alone, please!
