Cutting the Sat. show is just mean-spirited, without any real justification....

The most listed show you have and you decide diversity is more important than tradition and listener base? Poor management decision.

It's hard to watch an important, vital part of this region be taken apart. Students have benefited from the experience of working with members of the larger community and the campus has benefited from the programming done by those members. Cutting the Polka programming may be the fatal cut.

Those of us who grew up listening to, played and and enjoyed polka music will find a great part of our lives will be missing. The DJ's have been devoted to us and your station to keep our wonderful ethnic music in our lives for over 30 years.

It's a sad day for all of us that really like Polkas. With all the bad that's going on in the world the one thing we look forward to is the Happy sounds of polkas. To me it sounds like picking on the older generation. Please don't
stop our music that we love so much. Thank You so very much.

Keep the 12 hours of polka programming. By reducing the number of hours of polka programming you will damage community relationships and most likely reduce the amount of money raised. The reduction of programming hours is simply not a good idea.

This will be a big loss to the Polish/seniors in the area. My mom, who at 81 and not at all used to using a computer, looked forward to listening to the programs and especially loved listening to the requests and dedications. Unfortunately, many of the senior Polish people cannot get to a polka dance, and these programs gave them the ability to relive their past, twirling around and living and being young again -- it brought back wonderful memories -- These programs are not in prime time and I dare say that the youth of America are not going to be tuning in at 6:00 a.m. -- I hope that head of WMUA feels some compassion for our elder population and keep Bill and the gang on -- You don't even know how much it means to them. Makes me very sad to see that the greatest generation's wishes are being thrown out for what -- I can only imagine. Shame on you.

Please keep the Polish Music as it has been. We have been very generous to the Station WMUA over the years. The best dances in the valley were the Polka Dances. where folks danced or just listened. Don't take away that little part of our heritage please. There are lots of us folks who still enjoy listening to great Polish Music and in the past WMUA did a great job f providing it for us--DON'T TAKE IT AWAY PLEASE

I cannot believe this!! I have been listening to polka music for close to 50 years, first on 1400 AM, then later on 91.1 FM. How great was it that every weekend, if I had the radio signal, that I could listen for 12 hrs while at work or at leisure? This is what I grew up on, what many others did as well. It is part of our heritage, and part of the Polish culture both in this community and this region. The fact that the polka shows pulled in almost $25,000 in 2 days (whereas all other programming combined only had $4000 pledged), shows what a strong following is out there. Small wonder that the polka shows are the #1 programs on WMUA. Given the strong sentiment in the community, I'm sure it won't be long before "we" find another radio station to host the broadcasts. We will be only too happy to pledge our money to the new station.
