I started listening as a child and now listen with my children. At 6&9 yrs they request that we put it on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Would be terrible if it was gone!

Grew up in Greenfield and South Deerfield listening to toe tapping polka music- all my grandparents came from Poland. I still love polka music and listen to your station on our internet feed. Please keep our 12 hr. of weekend polka music on the air. Thank you, Francis Schultz,

I grew up listening to polka music in my grandmothers house as well in my mother and father's house. you might say Polka music is in my blood I enjoy listening to polka music each Saturday and Sunday no matter where I am even if I'm driving in the car . Please think about the money Polka music raises for the radio station . polka music has
listeners from all over the country. Please bring back the time polka music is on . Thank you

I feel UMASS is not acting in the best interest of WMUA as the partnership that was forged so many years ago will be lost, as well as the respect of the community at large both listeners and donors.

This decision to reduce the polka shows over the weekend from 12 hours to 4 hours. And doing away with the Saturday show is a disgrace to the Polish community who were always there with donations for WMUA's annual fundraiser. I totality disagree with this decision!

As a graduate of the University, and a life long resident of this community, I have always been proud of my University to have played an active part of this community with maintaining my Polish heritage. The weekend Polish programming has been a very important part of our lives. We have financially supported WMUA during the annual polkathons. I have been very proud of the community involvement of my University and the community....until the announcement made this past w/e. Students have much to learn from the seasoned DJs experiences. This is my hope you will be able to find a way to keep this programming as it has been.

It was a Umass student who told me and our touring group the most popular music of the student community at Umass Amherst was "polka music"... Keep it going!

I hope WMUA will acknowledge this petition and restore the 12 hours of polka music. The polka people have supported WMUA in the past and hope to in the future. DO NOT bite the hand that feeds you!!!

This has been a tradition in my home growing up and continues to be in my home as an adult. This holds onto family heritage tat I would like to pass onto my children! I look forward to Saturday and Sunday polka around the house and in the car, it would be a shame to lose it.

A lot more people listen to the shows than you realize. I really feel bad for the regular listeners that DO NOT have internet access- they won't be able to hear polka music on Saturday any more. Polka people have supported your station for years-so why won't you support them!!!
