Weekends will not be the same. I've listened to polka music on WMUA since the beginning. What a tragic way to end something that means so much to so many people.

To paraphrase a friend's comment -- The University's decision of to gut weekend polka -- a show that has run for generations -- strikes at the heart of the community in which the University sits and is astoundingly short-sighted. The show brings to the University cultural diversity, national recognition, and substantial financial support. The educational ignorance and cavalier attitudes behind this decision are stunning and disgraceful (not only to the Polish community but to the whole community).

Please do not stop playing Polka Music! It is what most of us grew up on around here and still love listening to it today. Don't get rid of History as others are doing. Thank you!

My Mother loves both Sat and Sun shows and has continued to tune via the Internet after her move from Hatfield, Mass to Florida. Please do not reduce the program. Billy Szych, Lt. Col., USAF Retired, UMass Class of 1975.

This is a rare program which has a worldwide audience . It shares and carries on a unique and vital American music. It has brought huge support and recognition to the university through the tireless devotion of the volunteer DJs. To remove it is a shortsighted and devastating move. .

Please keep the polka show going. It means a lot to us and we rely on WMUA to bring us great Polish music every Saturday and Sunday. -A concerned UMASS grad.

Let's think about diversity and all the contributions of the Polish-American community especially the donations they have raised.

Please return the Polka Music Show back to there original time slots. After there support of WMUA for 36 years this is not fair. Please rethink this new scheduling you have made. Thank You !
