Keep Polkas Alive on WMUA

My family has listened and participated in WMUA Polish music for years! My dad has called in Polka requests for his family/friends/12 grandchildren's birthdays/visits for years. In being strong supporters of this radio station, Polish-music lovers should receive the reciprocity deserved. Individuals will continue supporting the station that continues to appreciate this Polish cultural mainstay.

A great listening experience will be missed by the polka music community who have been supporting this type of broadcasting for years. This will be a major loss and a sad day.

Keep the beautiful Polkas going!

The Polish community has been a strong supporter financially to this station from the beginning of wmua... don't be near sighted by eliminating the Polish community and their support.

Please reconsider, It is my favorite program.

My parents have listened to WMUA for 30 plus years. My mother recently passed away and my father can no longer go to polka dances. My father always listens to the polka program and lives for polka music. I was brought up listening to the station as a kid and continue to hear every weekend when visiting. I just recently recently received a second t-shirt from WMUA as part of the recent telethon. I also work for an order of polish nuns who listen to the polka music. Please reconsider taking it off the air. Polish music means a lot to everyone.

This show was one of the most important memories from my childhood. Please let it live on.

Please reconsider the programming change and return full polka program.

I am a 70 year old veteran, I fought for our freedom and that means I also want to hear my polka music.

Being of polish decent I have listened to this program since I was a youngster. Now 37 years old I still listen and my children also listen ages 9 & 11. It is awful to let this program go since it brings so many listeners and money to the station

As you can see i am French canadien but I have been listening to polka music on emus for many years n I am a contributor to the polka thon please reinstate this program that is listened by many seniors on sat n Sunday thank you

Please reconsider your decision re polka programming on wmua. I am from poland and I enjoy listening to music which is an important part of my cultural heritage. Please do the right thing and realize the bad impact your rash decision has made on so many listeners. Why did you have to fix something that was working so well for so many. Please do not reduce the polka broadcast on radio station WMUA on Sat/Sun. Please return of all 4 polka shows and the hosts to the regular 12 hour schedule. I'm in the Chicago area and I listen to the program's via the Internet on the Polka Jammer site. These programs are important to many people and sometimes listening to these programs are the only thing they have to look forward to each day. Don't take that away from them.

My friend loves polkas

For years WMUA took money that was raised by the polka fans. What are you going to do now WMUA when that money will go to someone else. Bring back the polish music for the same time it was. BTW you should return monies received because you received it in November.

I listen locally and was disappointed to hear that WMUA is cutting back on its polka programming.
