I also think this rule is stupid, having pockets isn't such a big deal. These stupid people don't know what to take away anymore.

Can't afford new pants. I've worn khakis with pockets for most of my time in the school, and I'm a senior. I have more important things to worry about, like my school work, rather than the brand or formation of my khakis.

(cont) impact on a students education. If that were the case, many public schools would have been closed, due to students informal attire. Idea is coming up with useless and invalid policies to restrict students from having a normal 4 years of high school or even junior high. There is no point to restrict students, when all students go to school to learn, or as idea labels it; memorization and bumped up grades.

they barely let us where anything we want so who are they to tell us what type of khakis to wear... no where in the stupid handbook does it state we need khakis that have sewn pockets... like that's just adding up to the useless policies they have at IDEA ... the phone policy, the jacket policy, and etc are just clearly not needed. it's also up for the parents to speak because clearly, they don't care about the students opinions or beliefs. can't wait till they run out of ideas for useless policies.. (no pun intended)

Idea is infamous for its college like atmosphere and their restricting policies. As of recent, the "Sewn pockets," policy at Idea has gotten students reprimanded for wearing khakis; the basic uniform at Idea Public School. The entity of this rule has no logic whatsoever. The Student handbook for 2015-2016 does not in fact state what type nor brand of Khakis students have to wear. It is RECOMMENDED that students wear Dickies for they their durable fabric and uniformity. However, there's is no section which states what brand, color, or type is allowed at Idea, more so at Idea Quest. A students pants have no

As a parent of 6 kids, 3 going to IDEA Quest, is a lot tougher to buy pants on command.

I agree completely, we weren't told before the year began we couldn't wear khakis with pockets or khaki jeans.
