This is a petition from several years ago. Funny, it sounds exactly like what the Council is trying to do again in 2016. A new petition has been started for this round (2016). Come on over and sign it. We've hit nearly 150 signatures in the first 24 hours. We'll be doing physical petitions if you'd rather sign a piece of paper.

I would like to see this area left alone so that we can have a glimpse of some open space when you get to the main junction of Parker! As a 30 year resident of Parker I am appalled that every single empty lot or space of land seems to be built on lately- Believe me it is not a crime to leave a little open space in Parker-that is what most of us moved here for in the first place!

Please do NOT put business in the Pine Curve area. This would cause more traffic and ruin the charm of old town Parker. Perhaps another park would be a nice alternative.

I would be more inclined to allow small independent business that bring charm and personality to Main St. No one comes out of their way to see a King Soopers, besides we have that huge new one on Cottonwood that is in a great location for a big box store.

We've lived in Rowley Downs for nearly 30 years. Both of our boys were raised here and we've entered our retirement years here. Our house is on the north end of Rowley Downs, so we've had a front row seat for many of the changes that have taken place in Parker. Instead of a mountain view and rural atmosphere we now have a view of the PACE Center's parking lot, the new Town Hall, the new library, the Pine Drive extension, and soon we'll be able to glimpse a parking garage and yet more apartments and retail along Pike's Peak Drive from the comfort of our living room or patio. And now we could be treated to a gas station (probably convenience store) and drive-thru, as well as four story apartments on the Pine Drive curve. There's an empty gas station sitting on the southwest corner or Parker Road and Mainstreet. There are plenty of drive-thrus along Parker Road as well as other more heavily-traveled streets. And we've got apartments springing up like weeds. Why must every inch of open land be developed? If we'd wanted to live in Aurora, we'd have bought a house in Aurora, for heaven's sake! What's next, trailer parks?

Rezoning Pine Curve is not necessary and will impact the area traffic greatly. It is already bad there. This is public land paid by our tax money so the city council should listen to the Parker residents to keep the "Pine Curve" historic.

This is a demonstration of the total disregard the Town Council has for Parker residents and their constituents. This plan is nothing more than a money making tax plan and cares nothing about the character of Parker and the reason most of us chose to live in Parker and NOT AURORA OR DENVER. I could not be more opposed to this plan.
