How can Essex CC take away such a wonderful service being offered by these lovely ladies.

ECC Keep Phoebes by the river. Local residents and visitors from further afield support this wonderful small, independent family run business who have become a much loved part of the community. Don’t let it be replaced by an already well established Essex company that already owns multiple businesses, it will not be the same. This is not about having any tea shop/ eatery by the river, it’s about keeping and supporting this one. Support this small business and listen to the people of SWF.

The decision to effectively punish a small company that even during the pandemic enabled the community to interact safely and enjoy the local area is unacceptable and should be reversed.

Phoebes Pantry deserve to be there. They have provided a service on our side of the river and showed real entrepreneurial get up and go much more than can be said of Chelmsford City Council or local Council which cannot even create a safe walkway to the river which during winter is not thick mud. The site at Phoebes is very nicely presented an always clean and tidy . A credit to them.

Made something good out of nothing and so lovely to have as a go to when walking by the river. Lots of hard work for them getting their business established and now a shame that local government not thinking of the area and what people want and need .

Phoebes has put the River on the map as a place to visit , to sit , have refreshments and enjoy our River. Her prices for refreshments are affordable. I look forward to having a cup of tea after the Parkrun on a Saturday . Woodham needs Phoebes

Phoebe's does a great service to the town and loved by many, so don't take away something that many enjoy.

This is a real asset to south woodham. A great home-cooked product presented in a lovely clean environment to people exercising and enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The council needs to understand a town cannot thrive on mass-market global fodder sold in rubbish-making packaging alone.
Please consider residents quality of life.

It would be such a shame if Phoebe’s pantry could not continue trading. We use it regularly and it is a great resource for the community.
