Keep Phoebe’s Pantry in South Woodham Ferrers

So so sad to head this awful news!

This is a valued service for people who use the river side walk.

Small business run by hard working people We must support businesses like this Community coming together thought that is what this council wanted and the country

How can you just make someone sell their buisness on which they have worked so hard for and serves the community

Please stop this ridiculous plan to take away a much loved local business from our town

Please rethink we need this refreshments by the river. A great asset to the town

The only place we have on our side of the river where you can get some refreshments and they are being forced to move away. Another fantastic family business that risks closing because of the ridiculous decisions made by ECC.

Let the small business's have a chance to survive and serve the local community

Phoebe’s Pantry is a great little business and extremely popular. Why ruin this when we should be supporting local businesses. ECC you should be ashamed of your actions!!

What an awful decision which is disastrous for both a thriving small business and all visitors to the river in SWF.

Shouldn’t ECC be supporting a local business rather than trying to put obstacles in the way !

Absolutely be allowed to continue trading and not be priced out of the market. Young entrepreneurs are the backbone of this country and the future and should be strongly encouraged to succeed. Do the right thing and allow this business to grow and be successful.

Do not make this brilliant friendly little business close down. For once listen to the people of the town.

This little gem has proved to be a little godsend. The beautiful cakes, snacks, drinks, that are all of such high quality and taste are absolutely delicious and a must. It’s a family run business and they are all so friendly and caring and during the pandemic they continued with home delivery’s and went and are still going above and beyond to cater for everyone. I think they have been such an asset in bringing people of Woodham and further afield to share in our beautiful waterside retreat. Phoebes Pantry have offered many young and old the joy of a pleasurable waterside treat with their afternoon teas and special evening events all of which are total sell outs. Phoebes Pantry has brought a lot of footfall to the area and in doing so we have improved seating memorial benches and pathways for walkers, runners cyclists etc. Phoebes location is perfect and they have provided a safe and lovely area to sit and enjoy their wares and take in the surrounding countryside and river that was certainly being neglected and underused for some time. Does the gentleman in the EEC even live in swf or been to see how popular Phoebes is? Somehow I think probably not. If it’s not broken don’t try to fix it!
