Please Keep this local family business a very important part of the community and somewhere we enjoy to be able to cycle and walk to as a family

Why would ecc close shut down a popular, well regarded local business, who have improved the Riverside experience- totally unacceptable

It’s a brilliant little business and brings the community together. So unfair to put prices up.

Really poor decision ECC. Phoebes brings great joy to those that visit the river. They are so friendly and make the best cakes...even all the dogs love going there. Please rethink your decision.

Absolutely sad to hear this business will be closing. It has bought so much to the community and to think they have to close because they are not in a position to apply for tender. How can a small business compete with other businesses who are more established.

This is an invaluable asset to the local community. The staff are so lovely and genuine. I fully support them and have watched their business thrive over the lockdown. Please help them to stay in business.

This a a wonderful small business who has pulled our community together over the past few years. It’s made the river more desirable. Save this wonderful place!!

Then feel of the river side was a huge reason behind us moving to SWF last year. They are part of the appeal of the area and I would hate for that to change for the sake of greed from the council wanting more money and simply going for the highest bidder regardless of the impact on the area

Why?

A very lovely feature that encourages people to get out down by the riverside, safe in the knowledge there’s a cup of team available. To lose this little business (which has done so well for a very good reason)would be utter madness for what? The extra money they are charging swallowed up for goodness knows what. Taking away this valuable service that encourages us all to get out and be healthier, utterly counter-productive and short sighted, and probably greedy on ECC part.

Spending time at the river should be, and can be one of the most beautiful distraction 365 days of the year. The council do the bare minimum to ensure the carpark is user friendly and offer no seating or carpark is maintained. With area declined use since we moved to the town. Well that was until the arrival of the Phoebe's pantry. Since they arrived I now take my elderly .other there she can sit and enjoy a cuppa and admire the rivers beauty. You want to encourage people to spend time out doors. Support local community, become a community. Well removing this that's a kick in the teeth. You are not stopping a business trading you are stealing a piece of the community. Leave the pantry alone.

Great place to go

Phoebe has worked very hard to establish her little business. It is much needed and wanted at the river in south woodham and provides refreshments and social interaction for lots of people. Support Phoebes Pantry !

A great small business that provides an excellent and much needed service to those people visiting South Woodham Ferrers is being extorted by Essex County Council. This is unfair and will be contested by those that use and know Phoebe’s Pantry.

This is a disgrace. A great business much loved in the town and by huge numbers of those who use the facilities. Why is South Woodham always hit by the highest charges in Chelmsford and Essex and we lose everything we value. This business should be allowed to continue without the hike in charges.

Such a super place this is and it’s very much needed, business like this should be supported not forced to close. It’s disgusting

She’s amazing and we all love going there! Be a huge loss to not have her there!
