The Brazoria County Library System confirmed today that Jamie Goh will remain in her position at the Pearland Library. I have finalized a follow-up meeting with the branch administration to ensure this arrangement remains permanent for the upcoming year.

If you have visited the Children's section of the Pearland Library,
you most likely have had the pleasure and joy of meeting Ms. Jamie Goh,
the Children's Librarian. Her effervescence and obvious love for
children have made our trips to the library the highlight of our week.
We go to the library to visit Ms. Jamie...and get our books :) She has
guided my children in choosing books, sharing such delightful enthusiasm
for reading and finding new treasures to bring home. She spends so much
intentional time with those who visit the library- talking with the
older children, being silly with the toddlers, holding the babies, and
even making sure the moms are doing okay. This Children's Librarian
knows the importance of forming meaningful relationships as well as
performing the tasks of her position, when it seems in most places only
function matters anymore. We love our library because we love Ms.
Jamie!
Because of certain circumstances,
Jamie is being asked to transfer to a different position in the library
system. We don't want her to leave the Pearland Library! She was made
for this job and it would be heartbreaking to see her go. Please sign
this petition in the hopes that The Brazoria County Library System would
listen to its patrons and keep Jamie Goh as the Children's Librarian at
the Pearland Library.

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with the district library administration. I am currently finalizing the presentation of our feedback to ensure the decision-makers understand the specific impact of this librarian on our community.

I take my son to this library every chance I have. Its rare that my son opens up to someone so quickly. I live in Clear Lake and i drive to this library because he enjoys it so much. If she leaves this position I won't be going there anymore. It would be rather sad since he has started making friends there.
Not sure of the circumstances, but I know their is not anyone else more fit for this job. I was just telling the mayor, in the library parking lot, how much we love Jaime and all that she has done to make my family feel so welcome. From the tot times down to always stopping to chat at HEB, she gives her all to love on children in Pearland.
Ms. Jamie is amazing for us new moms in the baby bounce class. I just began going when my son turned 4.5 months. These outings with him helped me with my PPD and meet other new moms. Please don't take her away.
Ms. Jamie Goh is instrumental in ensuring the Teen Advisory Council is fun and engaging. Her friendly personality and knowledge of children and teens' interests are invaluable to the success of this and other children's programs at our community library.
Pearland library NEEDS Ms. Jamie. She loves on my 4 year old and treats her like her own child. She spends time finding out what my oder kids like and offering them new books to try. Please don't take Ms. Jamie away.

Ms. Jamie has been very kind and helpful and a true asset to the library. When my youngest was having trouble reading she encouraged him every time and always made reading fun. He is now an avid reader thanks to her knowledge and direction. It would be terrible to see her go.
