If you have visited the Children's section of the Pearland Library, you most likely have had the pleasure and joy of meeting Ms. Jamie Goh, the Children's Librarian. Her effervescence and obvious love for children have made our trips to the library the highlight of our week. We go to the library to visit Ms. Jamie...and get our books :) She has guided my children in choosing books, sharing such delightful enthusiasm for reading and finding new treasures to bring home. She spends so much intentional time with those who visit the library- talking with the older children, being silly with the toddlers, holding the babies, and even making sure the moms are doing okay. This Children's Librarian knows the importance of forming meaningful relationships as well as performing the tasks of her position, when it seems in most places only function matters anymore. We love our library because we love Ms. Jamie!
Because of certain circumstances, Jamie is being asked to transfer to a different position in the library system. We don't want her to leave the Pearland Library! She was made for this job and it would be heartbreaking to see her go. Please sign this petition in the hopes that The Brazoria County Library System would listen to its patrons and keep Jamie Goh as the Children's Librarian at the Pearland Library.
