Massage therapists are needed now more than ever

This is very important to therapists. I believe by taking the precautions necessary that a live training will be completely fine. At some point we have to get back to some normalcy.

As a sole proprietor and financially stricken I ask that you consider the six month extension for our profession. This would help myself and other LMT’s tremendously. Thank you, Betty Shields-Kee

I appreciate the state Licensing board allowing us to take on line classes during this time, However if we could have an extension of 6 months that would allow us to participate in hands on classes and support the facilities that make continuing education happen as well as the instructors that work so hard for us.

During these tumultuous times, an additional six months of licensure would give us one less thing to worry about. Thank you for your consideration!

Please give an extension on CEU classes and licensing. We will be out of work for at least 2 months and will need our financial Resourses to pay our past due bills, not pay for costly massage classes

We appreciate the state licensing board allowing us to take all 24 credits online but the additional 6mos would allow actual "hands-on" classes.

We need an extension because we cannot take any in-person classes, which are the majority of our CEU requirements

I find Wolf’s suggestion of online, impersonal trainings insulting! The very NATURE of our work is PERSONAL. This just goes to show how much he has bothered to understand or even care about what it is we do!

First, allow me to thank you for taking into consideration options for renewal for licensure. Please, consider extending our renewal time an additional six months to allow an opportunity to take hands on courses. As you know, massage therapy is all hand and body work. Taking a course online is not the same as feeling the manipulation, movement and energy that you can from touching and understanding the stroke. This is a scary time for everyone. However, there may be other viable options that we need to investigate. So, undoubtedly, we are all impacted by the COVID-19 virus financially, emotionally, and as a family. Please understand we have no desire to quit the profession, we are only asking for your deep consideration. Thank you

My CEU’s follow my practice needs. Cupping classes online? Lymphatic Drainage online? All classes I was registered for had to be cancelled. It would be a waste of my money to take whatever online classes simply to meet licensing requirements. Please don’t make us throw our money away online. We are professionals and shouldn’t have to waste $ and time unnecessarily.

Yes, I had to close down my business, so I certainly don't want to be working upfront and personal in order to renew a license. Makes no sense.

Some people had CEU classes scheduled during the COVID crisis that were canceled.

I learn much more information if I am going to a class in person. Please keep continuing education in person.

Nobody is offering in person classes. Some classes are only offered once a year or once every 2 years. Another option is to allow us to do all CE hours online this renewal period.

I am currently working on renewing my license for the 2021 year and fear there will not be adequate time to take live classes for the required CEU classes in time once the National Emergency is lifted later this year, if at all. Please consider extending our renewal due date by 6 months to allow all of the LMT's time to gain access to the proper education needed to renew and continue to be licensed massage therapists in the state of PA. Thank you Erica Moore LMT#5835

It’s the right thing to do. Due to these unprecedented job losses in the massage industry. Please consider a 6 month extension for the license renewal to give our industry an opportunity to regroup financially. This would not be a good time to increase our biannual renewal rate either.

As a small business owner who is unable to operate due to the COVID 19 outbreak, it is imperative to extend the deadline. Thank you for your consideration.

Many of us have younger children whom are doing online learning classes and schoolwork. This alone is extremely involved, whereas we as parents need to step in as teachers and be involved in the process for extended periods of time and makes it extremely difficult to continue our own education. I strongly encourage an extension to help us, too, in this difficult time. It’s a worldwide pandemic and as licensed massage therapists, we are impacted the same as everyone else. Please extend our date for renewal! It would be greatly appreciated!
