I live in one of the streets close by to this area. Inceasing the residents parking zone will only create more trafic nearby. It already hard enough to park on my street without more people coming

I am against paying to park in my own street. I do think it would be a good idea to put yellow lines just on the corners at the southern most end of Hollingdean Terrace- people consistently park dangerously there.

Local councils should listen to the views of local people directly affected by this.

Hollingdean is a long way from town, it's not as if people are parking here to nip to the shops is it! This is just our council trying to squeeze us for more money due to budget cuts from central government. We have ample parking in our road. This is not needed or wanted.

The only gain is for the council in increased revenue

As a Hollingdean resident I object to controlled parking being implemented, it is an extra expense that many residents can’t afford and will not give any guarantee of a space.

I sign this as a regular, routine visitor to Dudley Road. I concur with the points made in the petition and the associated individual comments. More often than not, daytime parking is not an issue but from 5pm, say, it becomes very difficult. This is just down to the sheer number of vehicles. It is not clear that a residents parking premier would solve this issue, particularly if it does not apply after 8pm. Also, what proportion of the proposed annual fee is spent on scheme administration and its policing? If it is just about parking, why charge more for deisel viehicles, say? Other factors are clearly being included. With little apparent benefit to residents, it would be adding insult to financial injury if it proved to be just a further local tax.

We don't want to pay for parking for us or our guests, we don't want to just move the problem out again. I wish there was no paid for Parking around us.

I am not in favour of a parking scheme in Hollingdean. It is in fact an indirect tax

I do not wish to have payed parking in Holingdean. We don’t have any problem to park a car in our road. The concil tax is going up again and payed parking on top of that for no reason feels like town is just trying to make money on its citizens.

This is a ridiculous proposal, there is very little cause for non-residents to park in Hollingdean. Keep Hollingdean fee free!

Please do not implement parking permits in Hollingdean. Perhaps revisit the proposal in 2 years or so.

No permits! They won't solve the issue. We can help ourselves by parking more consideratly such as not taking up 2 spaces with 1 car!

Parking restrictions will just move the problem elsewhere.
