Keep the Christmas Parade at Night and Enjoy the Lights!

You need to leave the magical experience of the Christmas parade at night it was and is part of growing up in Blount County.
We do not need to change everything such as this where people enjoy the lights and the heightened excitement of being able to see some of the spectacular floats you would not be able to see during the day.
We are a small town and need to continue some of the small town traditions even though we are moving forward and growing but need to retain some of our small town atmosphere.Please leave things as they were and listen to voice of the people.

Always been at night, why change it? Won't be able to enjoy the Christmas lights that are on the floats.

I couldn't see doing the parade during day light hours, I don't believe you would bring the crowd you do now while at night. Oneonta is all about growing and bringing people to Oneonta, I do not think this would help if anything it would lesson the crowd and if i had to guess the parade would be shorter with businesses working.

Keep the parade at night. If you want to do a Saturday parade, that's fine. Just do the events you are wanting to have during the daytime and let everything lead up to the parade at night. No need in fixing something that is not broken.
